Seeking an Experienced Medical Bookkeeper for Pediatric Practice in Macon, GA

Our established multi-physician/location Pediatric Group is seeking a Bookkeeper with an understanding of medical insurance and billing to perform financial record-keeping, administrative accounting tasks. This includes handling of accounts payable, bank reconciliations and benefits coordination duties. The right candidate for this role must have a professional demeanor with excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position reports directly to the medical practice administrator and will interact with the accounting firms and physician owners.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions (income, expenses, payroll, etc.)
  • Record and balance patient and insurance reimbursements
  • Reconcile bank statements with internal records and practice's billing system
  • Monitor credit balances and prepare refunds
  • Review invoices to ensure accurate and timely payments from vendors and service providers
  • Processing payroll for staff and interface with outside services
  • Ensure compliance with labor and tax laws
  • Work with medical billing software to ensure complete laboratory and vaccine billing
  • Prepare reports for management
  • Monitor expenditures
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting required
  • Associates degree is preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with both QuickBooks and Excel
  • Proficiency in accounting and bookkeeping principles
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Our growing practice is seeking a hands-on, self-motivated candidate with billing skills with all payors. Requires the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, practice providers and nurses, and outside parties. Requires strong organizational and time management skills, and excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

Seeking Certified Medical Phone Triage Certified Medical Assistant for Multi-Provider Practice. They will interact regularly with patients, physicians and other clinical providers, dialysis centers and hospitals and administrative staff.
